Ten-year-old Girl Struck By Car In Ferndale

Washington State Patrol says a 10-year-old girl is being hospitalized after she was hit by a vehicle in downtown Ferndale last weekend.

Troopers say a woman was crossing Main Street around 11:45 a.m. Saturday with the child when a car making a left turn at the Second Street intersection struck the girl.

Police say the girl was soon up and talking, but was later taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of a head injury.

There's no word on the girl's condition.
