WWU 20th On EPA Green Energy List

Bellingham, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Western Washington University is on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's list of the nation's top 20 green energy purchasers in higher education.

WWU is 20th on the EPA's list because it annually offsets 100-percent of its electrical consumption from green sources through purchases of renewable energy credits.

Western is the only college or university in Washington on the EPA's list.
