Reward Now At $20,500 For Information On Eagle Deaths

Granite Falls, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A reward that now totals $20,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the January deaths of four bald eagles near Granite Falls.

A donation of $6,500 by the Portland-based Campbell Group has raised the amount of the reward in an effort to find those responsible for the birds' deaths.

The eagles' bodies were found on January 9, floating in a lake east of Granite Falls.

Investigators believe at least three of the birds were shot with a small-caliber rifle.
