Abortion Proposal Packs Olympia Hearing

Olympia, Wash. -- A state proposal to require insurance companies to pay for abortions packed a public hearing in Olympia yesterday.

The controversial ‘Reproductive Parity Act’ would prevent a reduction in abortion coverage that backers fear could result from the Obamacare rollout.

Opponents say it goes too far.

CEO of the conservative ‘Freedom Foundation’ Jonathan Bechtle calls fears of a reduction in abortion coverage overblown.

He says all insurance carriers in Washington already offer plans that include abortions.
