State Lawmakers Introduce Bill For Gun Sale Background Checks



Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A number of Washington lawmakers are behind a new bill to require background checks on all gun sales here, including those at gun shows.  Most of the sponsors of House Bill 1588 are Democrats. 

State Representative Jamie Pedersen of Seattle is the prime sponsor. 

"The Seattle Times" says Republican Mike Hope of Lake Stevens has signed on. 

He's a Seattle police officer.
