Blaine City Manager To Retire After 13 Years On Job

BLAINE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Blaine's city manager is planning to retire.

Gary Tomsic will leave his post at the end of June, a job he's held for 13 years.

The Herald says the City Council will interview two firms on Monday, and select one to search for city manager candidates.

The city manager hires and fires all staff, and oversees Blaine's finances.

The city has an annual budget of about $30 million and about 60 employees.
