State Senators To Hear Workers' Compensation Bills

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A state Senate committee says it will consider five bills that would save businesses money by changing workers' compensation rules.

The bills would encourage workers to accept injury settlement agreements rather than take their cases to court.

Opponents call the bills anti-worker.

They also tell The Olympian that the Republican plus conservative Democrat coalition that recently took over the Senate is responsible for them.
