The Northwest Clean Air Agency is urging authorities studying the possible effects of the proposed Cherry Point Shipping Terminal to look into the issue.
Director Mark Asmundson says they also want windblown coal dust problems, train and vehicle emissions, and construction and operation of the terminal studied for their possible negative effect on local air quality.
The agency made the recommendations yesterday – the final day to give input before officials design a major environmental study of the proposed Gateway Pacific Terminal.
