SPEEA Leaders Delay Vote On Boeing Contract Offer

EVERETT, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Leaders of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace decide to delay a vote among union members on whether to approve the latest contract offer by Boeing.

The Everett "Herald" reports that union representatives are deferring the vote until January 31, and will review the Boeing offer in the meantime.

Last week, SPEEA negotiators recommended that union members reject the proposal.

Boeing executives plan to reach out to employees today via a company only webcast to urge approval of the offer.
