Authorities say the boy and the girl, both about 12 years old, walked out onto the ice near the intersection of 75th Street Southwest and Beverly Lane around 1 p.m. yesterday and fell through.
Officials say before first responders arrived, two residents of a lakeside apartment launched a rubber raft from their porch, pulled the kids into the raft, and got them to shore with help from neighbors.
Authorities say the kids were in the water for about 10 minutes before they were pulled into the raft.
