Seattle Religious Leaders Bitterly Blast Upcoming Gun Event

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A number of Seattle religious leaders have drawn up a letter that calls a pro-gun rally scheduled for this Saturday's Martin Luther King assassination observance in Olympia as, quote, 'shockingly insensitive.'

The Guns Across America event is one of 50 scheduled for all U.S. capitols.

Promoters have told www.seattlepi.com that the events are to defend responsible and legal ownership of handguns only, not high-powered weapons.
