Agents Investigate Shootings Of Bald Eagles Near Granite Falls

GRANITE FALLS, Wash.  (Metro)  -- State wildlife agents are investigating the apparent shootings of some bald eagles near Granite Falls.

The Everett Herald says the four birds were found floating on a lake east of Granite Falls on January 9.

Investigators say at least three and probably all four of them were shot.

Bald Eagles are no longer on the federal Endangered Species List, but are still protected under other state and federal laws.
