Police ID Woman Killed in Skagit Co. Shooting



Marblemolunt, WA (Metro)  -- Authorities identify a woman who was fatally shot during the weekend at a campsite in the Marblemount area. 

Skagit County Sheriff's Deputies say 28 year old Brittany Zika of Rockport was shot in the head Saturday morning at close range with a .45 caliber revolver. 
 
A 31 year old Rockport man, identified as Zika's boyfriend, told deputies he accidentally shot the victim while they were on the trail to Granite Lakes. 
 
The man, whose name has not been released, was arrested for investigation of homicide.
