Washington's Legislature Convenes Today With Uncertain Senate Control

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Washington's 2013 Legislature gets underway today, but "The Seattle Times" reports that the bipartisan coalition that's going to run the Senate this year can't even agree on committee chairmanships.

Conservative Democratic Senator Rodney Tom wants to tackle teachers' collective bargaining rights.

Majority Democrats in the House say Tom's conservative agenda won't have a chance in their chamber.
