In Bet Payoff, Seattle Flag Flies Over DC City Hall

WASHINGTON D.C.  (Metro)  -- The city flag of Seattle flew over DC's city hall at the Wilson Building Thursday, as the payoff of a losing bet made by Mayor Vincent Gray.

Gray promised Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn he would fly the flag of the Emerald City over the nation's capital if the Seahawks beat the Washington Redskins, which they did in a playoff game this past Sunday.

If the Burgundy and Gold had come out on top, DC's "Taxation Without Representation" flag would have been flown over Seattle's city hall.
