Another Mudslide Stops Passenger Trains Between Seattle And Everett

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Once again, a mudslide has cut Sounder and Amtrak service between Seattle and Everett.

This time, the shutdown will last through tomorrow.

Unprecedented mudslides brought on by drainage issues and heavy rains have made the tracks the trains use largely unusable since mid December.

BNSF Railway owns those tracks and is spending millions to try to get the situation under control.
