Whatcom County Produces Sign Of Stronger State Economy

BELLINGHAM, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Retail sales data from Whatcom County may indicated a recovering state economy.

The state Department of Revenue says retail sales there were up nearly eight percent in the third quarter of last year, despite a leveling off of Canadians coming across the border to shop.
