Staffers from Ronald T. Jepson and associates-- the local representative for Ambling University Development Group—-held a public forum last night at cozier elementary school with members of the Puget Neighborhood Association and concerned citizens to discuss a controversial proposed new student housing project.
The 164 unit complex is expected to be built on land bordered by Puget, Nevada, Marionberry and Consolidation streets.
Puget Neighborhood Association President Mary Chaney says that in addition to potential noise issues, some residents have expressed concerns over traffic, parking, drainage and the addition of more pedestrians walking to the nearby park and ride.
She also says that the 230 thousand square foot project will be comprised of four buildings and is expected to house nearly 600 students.
