Woman Rides Scooter Out Of Store With Stolen Groceries



ANACORTES, Wash.  (Metro)  -- An Anacortes woman is under arrest after she reportedly rode a motorized shopping cart full of groceries and alcohol out of Safeway. 

Police say the 27-year-old woman took a motorized scooter around the store filling it with hundreds of dollars of merchandise, then drove out of the store without paying. 

Police caught the woman about seven blocks away. 

She told police that she was just driving it home. 

The woman, who has a long rap sheet was booked for investigation of first-degree theft.
