Snohomish Woman Second-Highest 'Wheel Of Fortune' Winner

SNOHOMISH, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A Snohomish woman who recently appeared as a contestant on the TV game show "Wheel of Fortune" was the winner of the second-highest prize awarded in the show's history.

Fifty-seven-year-old Cindy Kling pulled in winnings totaling $147 thousand on the show that was taped in September, but was broadcast Friday.

Kling says she had to swear to keep the outcome of her appearance a secret until the show was aired.

She says she had been applying for 12 years to be a "Wheel" contestant, and was finally invited to participate at an audition at a Seattle hotel.
