Another Mudslide Extends Sounder, Amtrak Closure North Of Seattle
MUKILTEO, Wash. (Metro) -- Yet another mudslide on the increasingly slide prone BNSF Railway line between Seattle and Everett has extended this week's shutdown of Sounder and Amtrak train service north of Seattle until at least Saturday.
Earlier this week, another slide struck and derailed a BNSF freight train.
As of now, serious work on the slide problems is still two years away.
Buses are substituting for the trains, but some are reported overcrowded.
