For Whatcom County, Northwest Weather Services is predicting high winds with gusts up to 50 miles per hour.
Heavy snowfall is expected in the foothills with blizzard conditions for the Cascades.
With heavy winds comes the risk of falling trees and potential power outages.
Minor tidal overflows may also occur between 8 and 9 a.m. this morning along our coastline.
The most significant impacts are predicted to occur south of the Seattle area.
