Blood Donors Needed During Holiday Season

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Again this year, blood donors are needed for the holidays.

The Puget Sound Blood Center tells "The Seattle Times" that holiday donations typically drop about 30 percent while surgeries and emergency room visits continue unabated.

A spokesman says the big need is for O-negative donors, since their blood can go to patients with any other blood type.

You can find a donation location at www.psbc.org.
