Possible Cure For Leukemia To Be Tested At Children's

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- At least some doctors think a new cancer treatment that uses the body's immune system as a weapon might just be the long sought after cure for a form of childhood leukemia.

"Seattlepi.com" reports that a clinical trial will start today at Seattle Children's Hospital with enrollment of patients.

Four other American hospitals are participating in the trial.

The treatment uses a disabled form of the HIV virus.

There's a press conference on the study set for this morning.
