Legislative Democrats, Republicans Reported Far Apart On Education Funding

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- There's word that Democrats and Republicans in the Legislature are already far apart on how to pay for the big boost in education funding that the state Supreme Court says is required by the state Constitution.

"The Olympian" says Democrats have already laid out options for new taxes to help raise up to $2 billion.  Republicans say they are still flatly opposed to any new taxes.
