OLYMPIA, Wash. (Metro) -- If you owe the state Employment Security Department money, don't expect to keep all of your federal income tax refund next year.
The department says it is ready to intercept the refunds of people who have orders to return wrongly claimed unemployment benefits and deduct whatever is necessary.
Employment Security Commissioner Paul Trause says it's a matter of protecting the Unemployment Trust Fund.
