Murray Standing Firm On Fiscal Cliff

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Senator Patty Murray says middle-class Americans need to be ready to risk going over the so-called 'fiscal cliff' on January 1, if that's what it takes to end Bush-era tax cuts for the rich and protect Medicare and Social Security.

"The Seattle Times" has her predicting that Democrats will let it happen as a last resort.

Republicans flatly insist that the tax cuts stay in place for everyone, including the rich.
