Woman Gives Birth On Ferry Run



SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A woman who caught a ride on the Bainbridge-Seattle ferry gives birth after going into labor ten minutes into her journey.

The birth took place yesterday afternoon aboard the M/V Tacoma, and the new mom was assisted by a midwife, two EMT's, and a physician's assistant who were on the ferry. 

The woman was transported to Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, where she and her baby daughter are said to be doing well.
