Lummi Man Pleads Guilty In Death Of 6-Month-Old Daughter

LUMMI, Wash. -- A Lummi man pleads guilty to killing his infant child.

Twenty-three-year-old Lawrence Tom Jr. admitted that he killed his daughter Casey Jo Tom earlier this year.

He was charged on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court in Seattle.

U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesperson Emily Langlie says that on May 10, Tom became frustrated with his six-month-old daughter’s crying and squeezed her head so hard that it caused skull fractures and brain hemorrhaging.

She stopped breathing and died three days later.

Tom will be sentenced in March and faces up to ten years in prison.
