Heroin Dealers Arrested In Sandy Point

SANDY POINT, Wash. -- A Ferndale couple that frequently sold heroin out of their Sandy Point home is now in custody.

After a two and a half month investigation, 35-year-old Mark Oreiro and 36-year-old Coreen Finkbonner were arrested yesterday by the Northwest Regional Gang and Drug Task Force on a slew of charges.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says the task force began making controlled purchases of heroin from the couple at their Sandy Point residence in September.

During many of the transactions the couple’s 7-year-old daughter was present.

Authorities seized two ounces of heroin, several grams of meth, about $2,000, a handgun and several stolen commercial crab pots from the residence.

They may face more charges related to the stolen property later.
