WA To Receive Seven Figures In Diabetes Drug Settlement

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Washington is to get nearly $2.25 million soon in yet another settlement with a pharmaceutical company over improper marketing of drugs.

Attorney General Rob McKenna says it's part of a $90 million nationwide settlement with GlaxoSmithKline.

Washington and other states had accused GSK of misrepresenting the health risks of its diabetes drug Avandia.

It's the second big settlement involving Avandia.
