Countdown Nearly Over To New Theatre At Barkley Village

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The wait for a new Bellingham movie theater is almost over.

The new Regal Cinemas Barkley Village Stadium 16 Theater will open for business just in time for the opening of “The Hobbit” on December 14.

Bellingham Whatcom Chamber of Commerce head Ken Oplinger says the development will be a boost for the city, and he says it’s about time a local theater offered stadium seating.

The 16-screen complex still under construction at Woburn and Barkley Boulevard includes an IMAX theater and a special screen for Regal’s 3D technology.
