The youngsters were under the impression they were visiting Madame Tussauds to film a promotional video, and had no idea they had actually been selected to meet the boyband as part of a segment on U.K. TV series "Surprise Surprise."
The singers, who wore make-up to give their skin a 'waxy' appearance, stood next to figures of Beyonce and Britney Spears, stifling laughter as their excited fans inspected them.
One of the girls seemed suspicious of how life-like the boys were, commenting, "It's really odd... I swear Liam (Payne) just moved!" - and the boys then leaped into action.
