Seattle Hostess Bakery To Close

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- More than 100 people will be out of work as Hostess Brands shuts down its plant in Seattle.

The Irving, Texas-based company said earlier this month that a strike that's being conducted by about 30 percent of its 18,300 employees nationwide could lead to closures of some of its bakeries.

The Seattle bakery, which has operated for more than 70 years, will close, along with plants in St. Louis and Cincinnati.
Hostess Brands filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January.
