Attorneys Suggest More Were Involved In Afghan Killings

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. (Metro) -- Attorneys who've questioned Afghans who say they witnessed the killings of 16 Afghan civilians now claim that more than one American soldier was involved in the murders.

That's according to "The News Tribune."

The Army thinks Joint Base Lewis-McChord Staff Sergeant Robert Bales carried out the killings alone.

A two-week hearing will determine if he'll face a death penalty court-martial.
