Poll Shows Inslee With Slight Lead Over McKenna

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- The latest University of Washington/KCTS-TV poll shows Democrat Jay Inslee with a 49-46 percent lead over Republican Rob McKenna in the governor's race.

With a margin of error in the poll of plus or minus 3.9 percent, the race is considered to be tied.

I-502, which would legalize and tax marijuana for use by adults, leads by 55 percent to 38 percent among the 632 likely voters surveyed.

The poll shows that Referendum 74, which would legalize gay marriage in Washington, is favored by 58 percent, compared to 37 percent in opposition.
