Senators Stop In B'Ham For “Jobs For Washington” Campaign

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Both of Washington's U.S. Senators were in Bellingham yesterday as part of the Democrats’ 26 stop “Jobs for Washington" campaign tour.

Senator Patty Murray and Senator Maria Cantwell joined gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee and Congressman Rick Larsen at the Squalicum Boathouse.

They spoke about keeping a college education affordable for Washington families.

After that, the senators spoke with local farmers in Mt. Vernon at the Skagit Valley Democratic headquarters along with Larsen, State Congressional candidate Suzan Delbene and State Senator Mary Margaret Haugen.

There, they called for action on a farm bill to support the Skagit Valley agricultural economy.
