Physician’s License Suspended, Accused Of Selling Pot

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A local naturopath is accused of using his medical credentials to sell pot.

The Washington State Department of Health has suspended the license of Yuel Boyce, a naturopathic physician who practiced in Whatcom and King Counties.

In a January investigation, Bellingham Police found that he gave three patients medical marijuana authorizations without doing the proper work to determine if they qualified.

Investigators also say Boyce broke state law when gave patients pot products at the same location he gave the medical marijuana authorizations.

He has 20 days to request a hearing, and can’t practice again until the charges are resolved.
