Sugarland star dispels break-up rumors

Kristian Bush has shut down speculation Sugarland is breaking up so his bandmate Jennifer Nettles can focus on her personal life, insisting the duo is just taking a "breather."

The country duo wrapped up its "Your Hands Tour" back in August, and since then the pair has yet to announce any future plans.

Meanwhile, Nettles, who is currently pregnant, has been busy acting as a judge on "Duets," and the lack of talk about new music has prompted many fans to question whether Sugarland was quietly preparing to part ways.

Bush has now spoken out to set the record straight, insisting the band is just taking a short break so Nettles can give birth and transition into her role as a first-time mom.

He tells The Boot, "Jennifer and I are not finished making records. We know that. We're excited that this (is) a great time to take a little bit of a breather because she's got to figure out being a mom."

"We've been on the road for a very long time, so there's no reason we shouldn't take a little time off. You've got to give people space to be a parent. I'm a parent and I know what kind of adjustment that has been for me."

"I love her (Nettles) more than anything in the world, and I will do whatever it takes to make sure her life adjusts so she can become the best possible mom she can be."
