Warning From The County Auditor

WHATCOM, Wash. -- As Whatcom County Residents fill out their ballots, a warning from the Whatcom County Auditor.

Debbie Adelstein cautions voters not to tear their ballots when they’re removing the document’s perforated stub.

She says many ballots have arrived torn, and that complicates the counting process.

Adelstein suggests fully opening your ballot first, then carefully removing the stub to avoid damaging the paper before you mail it back in.
