Blink-182 parts ways with record label

Rockers Blink-182 have split from their record label.

Guitarist Tom Delonge took to Twitter on Tuesday to reveal that the band is now independent, uploading a snap of Mel Gibson as William Wallace in Braveheart and a still from alien movie Independence Day.

He wrote, "Freedom!! Blink as of today, is now an independent Artist!!!! You know what today is? blink-182's very own Independence Day!"

The group was signed to Interscope Records for the release of last year's Neighborhoods. Prior to that, the trio was signed to Geffen.
