Director Of WWU's Shannon Point Marine Center To Retire



ANACORTES, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Stephen Sulkin is planning to retire as professor and director of Western Washington University's Shannon Point Marine Center. 

Sulkin has held the post since 1985, and says he'll retire next summer, with his successor starting next fall. 

Sulkin and his wife Shelley, a science teacher at Whatcom Middle School, will continue to live in Bellingham. 
 
A national and international search for Sulkin's successor will begin early next year.
