WA High School Kicker Boots Record 67-Yard Field Goal

SPOKANE, Wash. (Metro)  -- A high school player is in the state record books after kicking a 67-yard field goal as time expired in regulation.

Austin Rehkow, who plays for the Central Valley Bears in the Greater Spokane League, kicked the record setting field goal that sent the game to overtime yesterday, with the Bears eventually winning over Shadle Park.

The 67-yard kick is believed to have tied the mark for the second-longest field goal in the national high school record book.

The NFL record for the longest field goal is 63 yards, held by three different players.
