Small Business Gets Voice At Local Forum

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Local small business owners have a chance to tell lawmakers what they think needs to happen in order to improve the business climate in our state.

The Washington Policy Center's 2012 Regional Small Business Forum will feature a panel of experts to talk about issues important to small businesses in our state.

Erin Shannon with the Policy Center says attendees can ask questions and can fill out a survey about the issues they feel are most important for small businesses.

She says they will take the results of the survey and present their findings to lawmakers.

The forum is this afternoon from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Bellingham Sportsplex as part of the Northwest Business Expo and Technology Showcase.

The forum is free of charge.

KGMI's Patti Brooks will be there.
