Wind Advisory Issued for Northwest Washington



Very windy conditions are expected Sunday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Northwest Washington which is in effect through 10 p.m. Sunday.

Whidbey Island, Western Skagit County around Fidalgo Island, coastal portions of Western Whatcom County, and portions of the San Juan Islands will see southeast winds of 20 to 35 MPH with occasional gusts to 50 MPH.

Falling tree branches may result in local power outages at times.
A gale warning is also in effect on the water.
