Parent Company Of Tully's Coffee Files For Bankruptcy

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- The owner of Tully's Coffee Shops is filing for bankruptcy protection.

Seattle-based TC Global Incorporated will try to reorganize its business and cited rising commodity prices and challenging lease economics.

The company's plan includes closing underperforming locations.

The filing is unrelated to the wholesale and online Tully's Coffee business, which was sold to another company in 2009.

Tully's Coffee Shops operate and franchise stores throughout the western U.S.
