Larsen Backs Intalco, Bonneville Deal

FERNDALE, Wash. -- Washington's 2nd District Representative Rick Larsen is hailing the tentative power deal for Alcoa Intalco works, calling it “a victory that all of Whatcom County shares in.”

Larsen says he's worked closely with negotiators between the Bonneville Power Administration and Alcoa to secure the new 10-year agreement for the Ferndale plant.

He says the long-term agreement "will allow Alcoa to make significant capital investments in its facilities."
Larsen says the tentative deal also "provides job security and ensures that Intalco will remain a cornerstone of Northwest Washington’s manufacturing economy."
