Former Priests To Announce Support Of Referendum 74

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Going against their former church, a group of 63 former Catholic priests will announce their support for Referendum 74 today.

Referendum 74 would reaffirm Washington's new law recognizing same-sex marriages.

The Catholic Church is actively supporting the effort against 74.

Meanwhile, "Seattlepi.com" says opponents of same-sex marriage are starting to spend heavily against 74 as the November election approaches.
