T-Mobile Parent Buys MetroPCS



BELLEVUE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- T-Mobile in Bellevue is a buzz after its German-based parent company announced a huge buy yesterday. 

Deutche Telekom said it had purchased Texas-based MetroPCS, the fifth largest mobile phone company in the U.S, in a complex stock transaction. 

The "Puget Sound Business Journal" says the combined company is expected to have nearly 43 million subscribers and nearly $25 billion in annual revenue.
