Gregoire Directs State Agencies To Reduce Energy Use

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Temperatures might be a little chilly in state offices starting this winter.

Governor Christine Gregoire has just ordered all of her cabinet agencies to reduce their building energy use by 20 percent by 2020.

She says the goal is to save money and eventually make buildings more comfortable and improve air quality.  .

This is part of a West Coast initiative involving the U.S. and Canada.
